IFA Executive Director meets Chinese Ambassador

Executive Director, Dr Rishi Adhikari gave a courtesy call on HE Chinese ambassador Mr Yang Houlan at his office on July 3, 2012. Dr Adhikari gave a brief introduction of the Institute of Foreign Affairs. He also said that China is an important neighbour of Nepal. The institute attaches great importance to the study of China, would like to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with counterpart institutions in China such as China Foreign Affairs University.

HE Yang said that as important strategic partners, China and Nepal have large cooperative space in the areas of Foreign Policy study and training the diplomats. The two sides can actively discuss the channel of exchanges and cooperation, and make joint efforts to push for that. In the meantime, Dr Adhikari also invited HE Yang as a special guest on the occasion of a seminar organized by the Institute on “China and India High Growth Trajectory and Opportunities and Challenges to Harness Development Potentials in Nepal”, held on July 6, 2012. Deputy Executive Director Mr Narayan Shrestha accompanied Dr Adhikari in the meeting.
