Institute of Foreign Affairs Announces Selected First Cohort for the MoFA Nepal Summer Internship and Fellowship Programme 2026
The Institute of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the selection of the inaugural cohort for the MoFA Nepal Summer Internship and Fellowship Programme 2026. The Programme received 1,278 applications from candidates across Nepal and the globe. Following a screening and interview process, 20 participants have been selected across three programme tracks: 10 Interns, 5 In-Person Fellows, and 5 Virtual Fellows.
The selected cohort represents a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds, with proposed research spanning areas of national interest including strategic affairs, economic diplomacy, and diaspora engagement, among others.
All successful candidates have been notified of their selection by email. The Programme will commence with an orientation during the third week of June 2026.
The Institute of Foreign Affairs congratulates all selected participants and looks forward to their contributions over the course of the programme.
